Director Mark Kidel discusses his BBC documentary profile of composer Ianis Xenakis. The film focuses on Xenakis' influences and practice as a mathematician, experimental engineer, architect, theoretician, educator and author.
Xenakis’ numerous approaches, ranged from electronic and acoustical, to orchestral and multi-media performances. He was a true renaissance figure and is regarded as the most important and influential composer of the twentieth century.
