A new large-scale video projection by Krzysztof Wodiczko for public spaces in Liverpool.
Representing Poland at this year’s Venice Biennale, Krzysztof Wodiczko is one of the most prominent Polish artists renowned internationally for his socially engaged work employing large scale slide and video projections. Wodiczko is interested in the situation of soldiers who fought during recent armed conflicts and are returning to civilian life. The artist will work with men and women from the Northwest who have experienced active duty in the armed forces. The aim of the project is to foster a better understanding of the impact of social reintegration on veterans and their families following their return.
This will be the first time Wodiczko has shown work in the UK since the 1980s.
